I do not understand all the technical and medical reasons, but I do understand the everyday activities that men tend to do, that women would never consider doing. Sometimes it is too obvious ....
NOW THAT IS A GOOD EXAMPLE WHY THEY LIVE LONGER THAN WE DO!
WELL, AS I WAS SAYING ..... WHOA BROTHER LOOK AT THAT!
John Edwards has dropped out of the nomination race, and so has Rudy Giuliani. Rudy gives his support to McCain, and Edwards followers will probably drift over to Obama, and not to Hillary Clinton. Therefore at this early stage in the process I believe that Obama will win the Democratic nomination and that either McCain or Romney will win the Republican nomination (not sure which), but as this unfolds I believe Obama will win the election in November. I hereby predict Barack Obama will be the next President of these United States of America. I base this on his very poignant populace message of "one America" and the end of "divisions" and so forth. He has the gift of great oration, and chooses his words wisely whenever he speaks. This is actually a good quality, and will no doubt transfer to his methodology as President. I imagine he will first attempt to reach out to many nations and repair our damaged foreign policy. I don't pretend to know the future, but it will be a very interesting period, and if it goes well for him he will be re-elected in 2012. Then the cycle will repeat itself again as the power swings back to the right.
I believe it will be a healthy change and our country needs new leadership now more than ever before in our history. Obama could change the course of our history, and I pray it will be for the better. Let's all get ready to say G'Bye to George Bush. Of that only am I completely certain!
'MIDWESTERN VALUES': Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius endorsed Obama at a rally in El Dorado. "He understands how to bring people together across party lines," she said. (story here )

I listened with interest to the State of the Union address, and noticed that there were many times he mentioned something where the democrats stayed in their seats while the Republicans stood and applauded. Thankfully there were several times when the entire House and Senate stood and applauded. The most notable was Mr. Bush's comments about support for our military in all branches, and that statement of support for them drew huge agreement.
Senator Hillary Clinton sat emotionless throughout, or it seemed that way. She gives very little hint of her agreement or disagreement by her facial expressions, and she lived up to her reputation as the "ice lady" tonight. The cameras panned her way many times. Mr. Obama was more animated, and seemed to be in agreement with many of the common issues, but he also remained sitting at several junctures of the address. All of this is, of course, quite normal.
Mr. Bush promised to veto any legislation during this legislative period that included "earmarks" or "add-ons", and directed the Congress to act with haste and pass the legislation to give Americans the relief they need to fire up the sagging economy. It is debatable if this proposal will have the effect they hope for. The nation's economy is in turmoil, and in some measure, the world's economy is as well.
Ted Kennedy and Caroline Kennedy gave their support to Mr. Obama today prior to the State of the Union address, and appropriately, Kennedy and Obama were seated together during the speech. You could see the look on the faces of the true Democrats as they listened for the last time to a State of the Union address by Mr. Bush. One could sense, almost feel their disgust for him and all of his controversial actions over the past 7 years. Ted Kennedy wore his feeling in his expression, and it is no surprise.
There is a longing in this great nation for a new America, reborn in an inspired vision of a changed direction and destiny. This is evident not only in the people I speak to, but in the comments made by Democrats who desparately want to win in November. Many of us, on both sides of the political aisle, are anxious to improve our damaged foreign policy, our image in the world, and our national goals. The one thing I hope they all realize is the total commitment of our terrorist enemies.
Let none of us be deluded into thinking that we can ever make friends with the evil side of the terrorist organization "al qaeda". They hate us, and our freedoms, and our way of life altogether, and they will destroy us in any way they can. I pray our new leaders, whoever they may be, will never take lightly the threat of this evil den of desperate zealots. They are always the ememies of America, and of all free peoples in the world.
Overall I am hopeful that some miracles will happen in the next few years. I hope the new President will hunt down the evil bin ladin and bring him to justice for the horrific attack on our soil on 9/11, and finish the work that was apparently abandoned when our President, for whatever reason, took us to war in Iraq. It turned out that the regime there had not had WMD for a long time, and was basically in a shambles ovrerall. It was also determined that Iraq did not have any connection to the planning or carrying out of the attack on America, aside from their hatred of the two presidents Bush.
So the mantra is "No More Bush", and I agree with it. However, the new President MUST recognize both the value and valor of our military, and the hatred and commitment of our common enemy, the al qaeda. I remember some of the dumb things Mr. Clinton did during his first term. I hope if Mr. Obama wins that he will be graced with a special wisdom from God Almighty, so somehow he, or whoever wins, can steer our ship through the troubled waters ahead. It would be a mistake to try to negotiate with these terrorists, and that is my area of agreement with Mr. Bush. The terrorists must be dealt with, but the way we deal with them could be different. I don't have the answers as to how, but I am convinced that they will never respect us and they will never give up trying to destroy us.
Well, that is enough for me tonight. Time to watch the news and go to bed. God Bless America!

Well, the fed bank lowered the interest rate and it did not bring up the stock market, and somehow all of us are tied to the stock market. Anyway, it seems we are because if the thing goes bonkers, our whole economy follows. Isn't there just something awefully wrong about all that?
So they say it is a pre-recession economy now, but I say bunk! It is a recession economy now, and why not call a spade a spade! They are dancing all around it, but too afraid to just say it. We are in a recession!
Just keep reading and watch us be in a recession very soon. Even the word recession seems to conjure up terrible images of long lines at the gas pump. I remember another recession in the late 70's when people were almost murdering each other at the pumps, so now with all the guns and violence we are in for a total disaster!
Gloom and doom - recession - pre-depression - forclosure - bank failure
Stories in today's news indicate that the autopsy on Heath Ledger was inconclusive as to the cause of his death. More extensive toxicology tests are underway that take up to 10 more days, so the matter truly is a mystery at this point.
This is a sad breaking story about Heath Ledger. Quite a sad situation as some people discovered him on a bed in an apartment this afternoon, and some pills were found in the vicinity. New York Police have issued a simple statement, and an investigation is underway, with an autopsy will be performed on Wednesday.
Mr. Ledger had been cast as The Joker in the latest Batman installment, “The Dark Knight,” set to be released this summer.
As news of Mr. Ledger’s death made its way across the Internet, the Police Department issued a fairly terse summary of the death: “ON TUESDAY, 01/22/08, AT APPROXIMATELY 1530 HOURS, IN THE CONFINES OF THE 5 PRECINCT, POLICE RESPONDED TO 421 BROOME STREET AND FOUND A M/W/28 UNCONSCIOUS. THE VICTIM WAS PRONOUNCED DOA AT THE SCENE. M.E.’S OFFICE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF DEATH. INVESTIGATION CONTINUES.”
This is a loss to us all, as this young man was quite talented as an actor, and was nominated for the Academy Award for his role in the movie "Brokeback Mountain ".
I am hoping this was not a suicide, but of course not enough information is available yet.
Heath Ledger, a native of Perth, Australia, won acclaim for his role as a co-star in “Brokeback Mountain”, a 2005 film. The film, based on a short story by Annie Proulx about two cowboys who fall in love, won critical acclaim. Reviewing the film in The New York Times, the critic Stephen Holden wrote, “Mr. Ledger magically and mysteriously disappears beneath the skin of his lean, sinewy character. It is a great screen performance, as good as the best of Marlon Brando and Sean Penn.”
In an interview in London for an article published in November, Mr. Ledger told The New York Times, ‘’I feel like I’m wasting time if I repeat myself.” He said in the interview that he was not proud of his latest role, in Todd Haynes’s “I’m Not There,” in which Mr. Ledger was one of a half-dozen actors depicting the musician Bob Dylan. "I feel the same way about everything I do. The day I say, ‘It’s good’ is the day I should start doing something else.”
Mr. Ledger was found dead on Jan. 22, 2008 at a downtown Manhattan residence. He was 28.
Of course I have to give credit to "Sting" for the phrase, and he sang it in the song entitled "If I ever lose my faith". They just seem like game show hosts and it is apparent that they are selling themselves to us. I guess they have to do this, but I truly wish there was a better way to select a new President than going through this "game show" pre-election pimary nonsense.
What I want to see is a "Charlie Rose" type of format where each candidate can sit in a quiet space and talk about how he/she is going to change the current runaway problems. If we could just sit and listen to some honest talking from each candidate, over an hours time, then we could really sift through the information in a more intelligent way.
The drive by media is not helping much either, as they play the political game right along as expected. Every now and again I find a good editorial writer who is able to summarize the comments of a candidate into more readable format, but overall the media just rides the "game show host" roller coaster along with us all.
Romney is good looking and women seem to like him, and Obama is hip and youngish so the younger voters like him, and McCain is too conventional like, maybe too status quo, while Hillary is just another lefty Dem who is going to grow government out of sight. These are a few of the comments I have seen in print recently, and this stuff does not help me to understand what they stand for.
I believe we need a great leader to emerge at this time, with new and better ideas of how to grow our economy without bankrupting the treasury. Debates between Democratic candidates are currently going on on CNN, so I guess I will leave this now and go listen to see if I can learn anything.
Here is a sampling of the big selection of Sony VAIO notebook computers available at PC Universe. I believe there are no better prices anywhere than at PC Universe. I like this merchant and all the dealings I have had with them have been positive. The Sony VAIO notbook models are very popular and useful. Have a look and just click through on any listing to get to the site, and from there you can search the entire site for other models, other brands or whatever you need.
I caught this not too big fish last summer, and my wife snapped a quick picture with my razor phone and it was fairly cool, so I entered it in the Picture.com digital photo contest this year. I wondered if you would consider visiting and voting for it. First the picture appears below with the story, and this is the voting link (thanks) - - > PLEASE VOTE HERE
We went to Paynesville, Minnesota this summer (2007), and I love to fast troll for Northerns. I have caught some good fish in Lake Koronis near Paynesville, and this time I really had fun. This fish was caught with a #5 Mepps spinner, with a yellow and red middle, and a flashy silver spinner, and not a bucktail. I have used the bucktails in the past, but this time I did not have one and went to the local store and bought what they had on hand. This fish took about 7 to 10 minutes to get in the boat, and was really a blast to catch. I had just before thrown 2 others back in the lake that were in the 2 to 3 pound range. This one became a meal for my Father in Law's friend who loves to eat Northern. I don't care for the taste of them, but I do love to catch them. (my fishing store) PLEASE VOTE HERE
Good Saturday Morning - Let's have a Recession shall we?
Wow the word recession is in the news everywhere isn't it? I guess now that they are saying we all need an extra $1200 from the government to spend that we really ARE in a recession. I am guessing this is true because they never want to come out and just say it. They dance all around the subject and then talk about giving us money.
I see our difficulties as being much more sinister than just a recession. I see the potential for select areas just blowing up due to a lack of support, money, housing and goods. Imagine thousands of recently immigrated folks with no place to live, living in your community, with no job and no hope. Believe me, if the word recession eventually evolves to depression, we will have to be well armed and we will have to band together for protection.
Today's criminal elements are bigger than they were in previous decades, and their presence in the communities where illegals live make it even more scary. Who knows the future? All I know is that if people start to break down my doors, many of them will die on the way in. If the kinds of chaos that I am envisioning occurs, then the local police will not be enough to protect the citizens of the US. We will have to protect ourselves.
Of course the news is purely economic in nature at this time, but there is an inevitable socialogical effect after enough time has gone by, and enough jobs are lost, and enough small business owners are driven out of business. The recession doesn't have to become a depression, but there can be locally depressed areas in cities that suffer under the effects of a recession.
I am not a nut case. I am simply saying to "be alert and steadfast" and prepare for anything. The social changes we have undergone in recent years leave us with no blueprint for behaviors and attitudes during such a downturn. I am ready to defend my home and family.
Well, maybe that extra $1200 or $1600 from the government will cure the ills but stimulating the economy overall with all the new buying. I wonder how long it will last? And, I wonder how we will pay for it with our deficit? How do we pay for it? I hope they don't make a dumb move and plunge us into a deep recession instead.
NFL Football San Diego at New England and NY at Green Bay
With a trip to the Arizona desert up for grabs, New England and San Diego will battle it out for the AFC championship and Green Bay and New York will butt heads for the NFC banner.
New England, as they have all season long, will once again be chasing perfection and yes, there will be a Manning making another bid for a Super Bowl berth, Eli that is.
NFL Conference Championship Sunday
AFC: San Diego at New England
Chargers +14 Over 47 Patriots -14 Under 47
When you go 17-0 and lead the league in yards and points a game during the regular season and allow the fourth fewest points a game on top of that, chances are Vegas oddsmakers are going to set a steep line for your games.
The New England Patriots have been favored by double-digits 12 times this season (13 including this week’s game) but are only at .500 (6-6) in such games.
The Pats haven’t lost a meaningful game since the Colts beat them in last year’s conference championship, might the Chargers be destined for an upset?
There’ll definitely be motivation, besides a berth in the Super Bowl, as San Diego will be looking to avenge a home loss to New England back in September where the 3½-point underdog Chargers were soundly beaten by a final count of 38-14.
The Chargers will have to do it with three key players at less than 100 percent though.
RB LaDainian Tomlinson missed a bulk of last week’s game after hurting his left knee; QB Philip Rivers was in a similar situation after landing awkwardly on his right knee in the third and TE Antonio Gates is still bothered by a dislocated toe.
Three days into the week, LT and Rivers are being listed as probable and Gates is said to be a game-time decision.
The Pats should be due for a loss sometime soon, but can San Diego, with three banged up offensive stars, be the team that delivers it? You can bet on this game now
NFC: New York at Green Bay
Giants -7 Over 40½ Packers -7 Under 40½
While it might not be surprising to hear that a Manning will be playing in a conference championship game, it might be to hear that it is Eli and not Peyton.
The Giants are a team that has been very profitable going down the stretch. Going 6-1 against the spread the last seven games, including an ATS win and near upset of the New England Patriots in the season finale.
In the playoffs, where the Giants are 2-0 ATS, Eli Manning has played less like his older brother and that’s not a bad thing.
Rather than trying to pass for maximum yardage, the Giants’ QB has picked his spots becoming more accurate and efficient.
In the postseason, Manning has thrown for 4 TDs, 0 INTs and averaged 174 passing yards a game.
The Giants weren’t able to earn homefield but that’s not a bad thing as the team is 8-1 away from Giants Stadium but New York’s NFC team will be headed into hostile territory when they head to Lambeau as the Cheeseheads and the weather will be less than welcoming, just what the underdog Giants like.
Speaking of good performances from a QB, Brett Favre has had a resurgence this season leading his Packers to a 13-3 (12-3-1 ATS) regular season and passing for over 4000 yards and 28 TDs.
Will Favre win one more Super Bowl or will it be back-to-back Mannings headed to the Super Bowl? You can bet on this game now

What is the best (small) business in the world today?
Hey, I know this is tblog, where anything BUT business is discussed. But hey, there is a wonderful no cost or low cost home business today that did not even exist only a decade ago or so. It is called Affiliate Marketing. I am a personal example of someone who has done this business for several years and I earn a fairly respectable part time income. My hero is this guy who runs this cool website all about Affiliate Marketing at www.bblmedia.com.
I have learned everything I know about AM from this guy. He helps me sometimes, and he is like me in many ways. He is also part time, but he really knows how to do it right, with no big hype and no false claims. Visit his site if you want to learn how to make money online with your blog, websites, message boards or social media and networking sites. Very cool stuff, and if you don't want to spend any money you can do it for free. I have not spent any money for anything in a long time. It is all about content and contextual advertising.
We all know something about something, and some of us are experts on certain things, so we can publish information about those things we are versed in. Here at tblog there are many talented members who write poetry for instance. There is real money in poetry if the poet knows affiliate marketing techniques as well. There are a lot of cool young people here at tblog, and they are all good at something. I'll bet some of them are good at games like World of Warcraft.
If you guys are interested in making money in affiliate marketing just give me a jingle.
MySpace is under fire again - I never use that thing much
News headlines today about MySpace.com indicate more troubles for the monster social media site. I personally never use it much, but that is because it is very limited for people like me who sell stuff online. Isn't it sad that a big successful site like myspace is used by the bad guys? I don't care one iota what happens to the thing.
Here is a list of good sites that are better than myspace in my opinion. You can use these sites to promote your personal or business blog.
Zimbio – This is a free service which I have signed up to which is fantastic in its own right. Add your blog URL to your profile so you can import your articles and post them to any wikizine. Each post will include a link back to your site.
StumbleUpon – This service was bought by eBay recently and is set to keep on growing. Setup a free account and stumble your blog posts, can be a great source of traffic. Don’t forget to stumble other bloggers posts that have links to you, the traffic coming to their site will see links to your site.
I-Newswire – This site has a PR7. Its great also in terms of generating a backlink to your site as well as helping you get indexed faster. i-Newswire.com is your free press release and news distribution center. They have both a paid and free submission service. You are welcome to submit your press releases or news free of charge.
Blog Explosion – Whether you like to talk about politics, business, your wedding, family or simply enjoy sharing your life experiences on your blog with other people BlogExplosion is a great way to expand the number of people that read your blog!
Buzzer Hut – Claims to be the web’s largest blog submission directory. Submitting to the directory is fast and easy. Its a place on the web where visitors can submit, search, browse, rate or review blogs from all over the world. Visitors can creat a new category or submit their blogs to an existing one.
Blog Burst – With BlogBurst, bloggers gain visibility, audience reach and traffic through placement on major online publishers and media destinations in real time. This one is by invite only, but seems to be quite worth the effort as it is quite professional and seems to be attracting industry professionals as well as small well made blogs.
eBlogzilla – This is a PR4 site. Blog directory that requires a reciprocal link which is easy to set up if you already have the "link exchange" wordpress plugin set up.
Digg – This one is so obvious, that it has to be added only for the sake of completeness (and for people that have yet to put 2 and 2 together). PR8 (or is it 9) sites have insane amounts of traffic. Have you written a great article, digg it. If you hit the Digg homepageThere are blogs out there which have gone offline because of the sheer numbers generated by traffic.
Netscape - Another one. Even better because its PR9. One of the oldest sites on the web. Furthermore, its easier to hit the front page of Netscape than it is to hit the front page of Digg. Also, it doesnt matter if you don’t hit the front page.
BlogHub – An online directory and community where members from around the world can gather and exchange ideas. You can add your blog or create a blog.
Blog Flux – Blog Flux was created as the spiritual successor to the Eatonweb Portal. The Portal, in its heyday, had been the best blog directory – lots of information, and a whole lot of user reviews.
Free Press Release – A digg type site…but still….Ever thought of writing a press release?
Blog Dirs – Search in the blog directory for any blog you want to find or add your own blog.
BlogdUp – A free blog directory categorized by country.
Craigslist – This is the king of classifieds, there is bound to be a category for your type of blog, run an ad and see if people come, regardless if they do it was free. I know a lot of major affiliate earners that spend hours just spamming craigs not just for traffic leads, but also for direct sales.
PR Leap – A good one to try. Basic service is free and has successfully increased the search visibility of more than 24,000 organizations worldwide as of October 2006.
Blogadr – Human edited personal and company weblog directory. No back link required.
Go Articles – Another free article site. Write articles targeting your topic and drive traffic through their marketing efforts.
Blog Catalog – Blog Catalog is the premiere social blog directory on the internet. Whether you’re looking to promote your own blog or find blogs on various topics, this site is for you.
Blog TopList – This is a blog directory that is sorted by the score each blog has received during the week. 100 unique visitors will generate the same amount of score as 1 unique vote. To get a vote the blog author needs to send the vistor to them through the voting button and then the visitor needs to click on the button to vote for the blog.
Top Blog Area – Searchable blog directory categorized by topic. Add your blog for free. Very web 2.0 orientated if you ask me.
Blogarama – Gain free traffic and exposure by listing your blog through this directory.
Blog Rankings – Free blog directory categorized by topic.
PrBuzz – Another free press release site. Press releases can hit news engines and search engines nationwide.
Blog-Directory – We are dedicated to bringing you everything you need to know about your favorite blogs. Want to find a blog centered around your interests? New to the whole blogging scene altogether? We’ll help you find what you’re looking for.
Ezine Articles – Write articles covering your blogs topics and submit them to this article directory. They have great page rank and you can list your blog address from your signature.
The NFL playoffs are a week old; the weak links have been broken and the top two teams from each conference emerge from a one-week slumber.
Like Izzy Mandelbaum from Seinfeld said, “It’s go time.”

Seattle at Green Bay
Seahawks +8 Over 42½ Packers -8 Under 42½
When Babe Ruth was playing in Game 3 of the 1932 World Series he famously pointed to the outfield and hit a home run in the same direction.
When Joe Namath heard his team getting trashed before Super Bowl III he said, “We'll win the game. I guarantee you.” He proceeded to lead the New York Jets to a 16-7 win over the Baltimore Colts.
What happened to Matt Hasselbeck during a Wild Card playoff game in 2004 when his Seattle Seahawks won an OT coin toss over Green Bay and he uttered the words, “We want the ball, and we're going to score”?
He marched his team up the field only to throw an INT that was run back for a score.
Hasselbeck probably won’t be making any bold predictions this time around The Seahawks are listed at SPORTSBETTING.COM as an 8-point underdog.
Jacksonville at New England
Jags +13 Over 49 Pats -13 Under 49
The 2007 New England Patriots are one of the best team’s in history, no doubt about it, but as impressive as going 16-0 is, there rep will be tarnished a little if they don’t run the table.
Both the Jags and Pats are profitable with Jacksonville (including last week’s playoff win) 11-6 and New England 10-6 ATS.
Will the Jags pull off an upset? That will be a very difficult task.
Could they cover at the +13 set by SPORTSBETTING.COM? That is a very real possibility.

San Diego at Indianapolis
Chargers +8½ Over 46 Colts -8½ Under 46
A good matchup is waiting to be contested in Sunday’s first game. Two of the NFL’s premier offensive players in San Diego’s LaDainian Tomlinson and Indy’s Peyton Manning will face each other, not at the same time of course, and the league’s fifth best offense (yards) in the regular season will try to out duel the league’s top playoff yardage earning team.
The Chargers hosted the Colts earlier in the season with San Diego pulling off the upset win 23-21 and covering as 3½-point underdogs.
Covering an 8½-point spread in Indy during the playoffs might be a different story though.
New York Giants at Dallas
Giants +7½ Over 47 Cowboys -7½ Under 47
Sunday’s final divisional playoff matchup will be the third time that the NY Giants and the Dallas Cowboys have met one another this season; both play in the NFC East.
The Giants are 0 for against Dallas this year both straight up and against the spread and now would be the perfect time to get win number one.
Although the Giants are underdogs of more than a TD at SPORTSBETTING.COM and facing a Dallas team that cruised to a 13-3 record, the Cowboys have a number of factors working against them:
Dallas head coach Wade Phillips hasn’t won in the postseason.
Star WR Terrell Owens will play but has missed a majority of practices the past two weeks due to an ankle strain.
If news breaks about Jessica Simpson being in attendance prior to game time consider wagering a huge sum on the Giants.
Enjoy all the games this weekend.
Visit SPORTSBETTING.COM to join the free “Super Picks” playoff contest. You could win the big prize of $1 million, plus there are tons of chances to win other prizes.

There is stuff about Forex all over the internet. Just look at this search query about Forex Currency Market I see forex ads on a lot of sites attempting to get me to invest with a forex broker. I found a great music download site and they have movies too.
I don't know about you, but I have used all the download sites in the past but there are some real drawbacks to the free ones. They are loaded with adware and spyware, and they slow down your computer in a significant way. I have had lots of troubles with sites ever since way back when morpheous started up. I recently uninstalled that and a couple of others, and started looking for a good one that has a monthly fee or something so the ads and spyware will forever go away. I found several and I am going to list them here and tell you which one I use if that matters.
The one I like the best is the Butterfly Network because it has a gigantic library of movies, which is my passion, but they have millions of music files too, making it my favorite. The Net Movie Download site is also good, and I almost selected it.
Download music, movies, games, music videos, TV Shows and more!
When the money starts coming in, you will believe in affiliate marketing
There is not another business on earth that is better than affiliate marketing . I say this because there are so many examples over the past few years of successful people who have been making money with their computers as affiliates, selling other people's stuff. As an affiliate, you do not need to have any products in the garage, or the basement. You do not need to ship anything, and you are not responsible for handling returns. Some companies charge returned product commissions against the affiliate account, and some do not ever do it. The affiliate is on the winning side of all this, and the model has not changed in 10 years. There is no reason to believe it ever will change either.
Since I began as an affiliate, the terms and conditions have changed a little, but not in a significant way. Most companies will not allow you to bid on their trademarked names in PPC, but you are free to use the terms in websites that are build for SEO inclusion in search results. Again, the affiliate is on the winning side of all the terms and restrictions in most cases. There is also no restriction on how much an affiliate can make. Some have made millions, while others have a respectable second income in the business. It is all about dedication and time, effort and results. No income limits at all.
Most affiliates use the big affiliate networks which combine merchants and affiliates under one interface. Networks charge merchants for their membership, while affiliates pay nothing for their participation. Networks are neat too because you can login and see the sales and clicks you have generated, and the income earned, and the network keeps track of all this at no charge to the affiliate. Most networks pay monthly, and some pay weekly and even daily. I am a member of several networks and they are all a little different, but they all pay on time 99% of the time.
All a person needs to start is a computer and an internet connection. There are many web 2.0 member sites that allow free member publishing on their sites, and a good example is Google's own Blogger.Com . There are currently thousands of free publishing sites on the internet, which are the result of a recent revolution. Many great sites have a blog which is hosted for free on blogger.com, and all the top affiliates use blogs in combination to their main domains. I use GoDaddy to host my domain, and they are great there.
If you are interested in affiliate marketing then I recommend a visit to www.bblmedia.com. There are some great resources listed there, including networks, in house affiliate programs and some web 2.0 applications as well. Other related sites are also listed there, and some pretty good resources and ebooks are available too. Maybe affiliate marketing could be your ticket to financial freedom. For me it has always been a respectable second income in addition to my full time career. Are you one of those who will become the next internet millionaire ?
Let's Talk Politics shall we? One working man's opinons
Who shall be the new President of these United States? Shall it be Obama? Hillary? Giuliani or Edwards? Someone else like Fred Thompson? How about Mitt Romney? Who else ?
What about change? Do we need change? Do we want to again be the light of the world? For several years we have been in a dark place. The question most of us are asking is, "are we in this dark place through the events of history, or the actions of our current leaders"? Or, a combination of historical events and some bad choices?
I am not passing judgment. I am simply commenting on some things that bother me and have bothered me since the 911 attacks on the World Trade Centers and the Pentagon. Right after those attacks our new President acted in a responsible manner. He amassed the armed forces and took the appropriate actions, including ousting the Taliban from Afghanistan.
As a Nation we became one people, united under the leadership almost 100%. We watched daily with anticipation that OBL would be caught or killed, and his group of terrorist thugs would be captured and tried in the world court. We all saw our military go to work, and were proud of all they did.
Later on, after the Taliban was defeated and Afghanistan was brought to a relative rubble and to peace, we saw a new development starting. We heard our President declaring that we had to go to Iraq and dethrone Saddam Hussein and his regime of evil. We all believed for a time that there was a connection to OBL. I personally believed that OBL may have fled to Iraq and that all the facts would come out later.
The invasion was prefaced by many days of constant display of so called "evidence" that WMD existed in Iraq. Salellite photos were made public that seemed to show labs and factories and vehicles that were making and transporting WMD all over the country. The invasion was the new news, and our pursuit of OBL was all but forgotten.
Iraq has been in the news ever since, and many lives have been lost since the beginning of the invasion. Recently there has actually been some evidence that the big push earlier last year 2007 was working, and many more of the Iraqi people were helping turn in the terrorists. But what happened to OBL?
What happened to the pursuit of OBL? Is anyone still interested in finding the SOB who engineered the attack on our soil? Why not? What has happened that has changed the National Will?
For one thing, President Bush has orchestrated a media coup of sorts over the years since the invasion of Iraq. His administration has successfully changed the national will in my opinion. I do not see the evidence of mistrust out there in the public that I imagined I would see by now.
That Saddam Hussein was a bad guy is not in question at all by anyone. I am a Patriot, and I am happy that our troops and their commanders ousted this despot. However, I still want to know why as a Nation we are not outraged that our leadership took us down this road when OBL was free to run all around whenever and wherever he desired. Oh, there have been a few movies and some protests, but the stamp of "unpatriotic" or "Un-American" was placed on everyone who spoke up.
I do believe that there were no WMD ever found in the ruins of Iraq, and in fact, the guy's military and industrial complex was in shambles when we went in. They did not have OBL in there hiding, and they did not have any WMD. Some of the Administration mouthpieces are still saying they are there somewhere, but we just have not found them. Hmmmm.
Ok, so here we are, and somehow our national will has successfully been altered, reordered and restructured to include loyality to an administration that essentially never leveled with us about the invasion of Iraq. In fact it has been learned since then that Bush has previously planned the invasion, even before 911. What? Does this not alarm anyone at all? Are we so easily manipulated and led about?
At this point I am very anxious to see the end of the Bush era. I am ready to see a visionary in the White House. We are all perhaps secretly awaiting a new day of a new and more open Foriegn Policy that allows us to have relationship with other nations again. What good has all this new activity done for our great nation? I wonder, I really do.
I am a patriot. I am a Viet Nam era veteran, and one of my sons is a Desert Storm vet too. I also have a son in the Navy right now, so believe me when I say that I fully support my troops in the field. I love my young heroes and heroines who are standing on the line for me today. But, that does not mean that I trust the current sitting President. In fact, in many ways this current administration reminds me of the old Nixon regime.
This President seems to me to be very secretive and anything but open and honest. I am still waiting for someone to capture the evil OBL and either bring back his cold dead body, or bring him to trial in the court of the World or in New York, whichever is appropriate. Where did that national priority go?
I am just a working man. I have an internet presence, but primarily I have worked for a big US corporation for 29 years and maybe can retire from that career in one more year if all goes well. I am not a politically active person, but I do vote. As I look over the field of Presidential candidates I am not finding the visionary leader our country desperately needs.
Maybe it is too early to say this, because maybe one of the current candidates on either side of the fence is that visionary, but so far I have not heard him or her speak to this issue. Maybe I am just a grouchy old man with a misunderstanding of big political issues. But, this is my honest opinion with no holds barred. I just do not trust this current leadership at all. I pray for someone with a true Jeffersonian understanding of our Constitution to come forward, and call a foul a foul and get our country on track.
