March Madness is over, ending with the Kansas Jayhawks overcoming a deficit late to win in overtime as a 2-point dog. Now the hoops focus is all about the pro game, as the NBA hits the playoff drive.
The NBA playoffs draw nigh and with two games separating Atlanta and Indiana in the East for the final playoff berth; it should be a sprint to the finish line.
Meanwhile in the West, the L.A. Lakers and New Orleans Hornets duke it out for top spot.
New Orleans is about as West as L.A. is east but that’s the way the Western Conference is stacking up right now.
But despite the old NFL-like geography (remember how the Falcons and the Saints were in the old NFC West?) of the Western Conference, the Lakers and Hornets game should be a good one.
Not only are the two teams amongst the best in the West, the Lakers are two games behind the Hornets for top spot in the conference.
There is sometimes a notable difference between betting stats and the actual numbers and Los Angeles is proof positive of this. The team has gone 4-1 in its last five straight up but it is 1-4 against the spread in the same span, in fact the Lakers have gone 3-7 ATS the last 10 games.
The Hornets are 8-2 SU in the last 10 and have been almost equally impressive ATS going 6-3-1 and have taken the Under in four of the last five games.

Boston at Atlanta
The Atlanta Hawks are currently clinging to the East’s final playoff spot with the Indiana Pacers chasing close behind and the next two games, which could be crucial, are against polar opposites.
The Hawks play the Knicks on Friday which shouldn’t be much of a problem as New York is near the bottom of the standings but face a much stiffer test the next night when taking on the best team in the association, the Boston Celtics.
Neither a line nor a Total has been set for the game but the Hawks have busted the Over/Under six out of the last eight contests and the last time the two teams met, back on March 2, the Hawks were able to cover as 11½-point faves.
Speaking of Beantown, Boston’s baseball team will face the New York Yankees and if a matchup between the Yanks and the BoSox wasn’t intriguing enough, the game could possibly spell the return of the Yankees star shortstop Derek Jeter.
Jeter has been suffering from a strained left quad and missed all of the Yanks’ previous series against the Kansas City Royals and was listed as day-to-day, eyeing a return for this weekend’s series.
While the season is still young, the Yankees are 4-5 on the Moneyline but seem to be more profitable on the Over/Under dipping below the Total eight out of its last nine.
Could Jeter’s possible return sway the Total towards the Over? Maybe not, the shortstop has been ice cold batting .208 with no Homers and a single RBI.
The baseball season is young and the NBA season is drawing to a close.

The epideictic pheromones, territorial pheromones, and trail pheromones belong to the first category. The epideictic pheromones are usually seen in insects. Commonly, female insects leave substances around the vicinity where they clutch their eggs so that other insects will automatically find another place. This pheromone type is similar with the territorial pheromones that animals use to label the scope of their territories. For example, dogs use urine to mark their territories. Lastly, the trail pheromones are used by social insects like ants, which leave chemical elements on paths they tread on so they can go back to their nests correctly. Ants also use their pheromones to guide other members to the right path, usually toward a source of food.
The second category includes the aggregation pheromones, alarm pheromones, primer pheromones, and sex pheromones. The primer pheromones are the most uncommon among the four types while the aggregation pheromones are substances that attract both male and female organisms. The latter pheromones are unusual because the typical pheromones attract specific members of the community only; for instance, if you're a man, you'll normally attract women. Meanwhile, there are species that, when attacked, release a substance that triggers aggression in other members of the community of that species-- a substance called alarm pheromone. But other than aggression, there are also pheromones that lure mates for breeding that are called sex pheromones. Generally, a male insect can sense or detect the pheromones created by a female insect even if he is 10 kilometers away from her.
Proven that these classifications of pheromones are natural tools used by animals for communication, scientists also believe that pheromones also work in human beings. The human vomeronasal organ (VNO), a tiny organ situated in the human's nasal cavity, serves as the body's receptor of such substances. Since the vomeronasal organ is linked to the vessels of the brain, it sends the signals that it receives from the pheromones to the human brain. Then, the brain dictates the response of the body, which becomes evident in the man's behavior.
In connection to the statement above, studies show that human beings use the sense of smell to select their mates. In fact, Swedish experts have proven that, with the use of the latest brain imaging device, both homosexual males and heterosexual females react in a common manner when they are sexually aroused by male odors. Another study has found out that through the use of odor, pheromones have the ability to synchronize the menstrual cycles of different women. With pheromones, the female's ovulation can either shorten or lengthen depending on the signal that the female receives. Scientists call this process McClintock effect.
To further prove that pheromones are natural parts of human beings or their everyday lives, scientists have documented their findings using medical journals including Nature, The Scientist, and Microscopy-UK and Micscape Magazine as well as reports such as Report from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Presentation to International Society for Human Ethology, Simon Fraser University. Due to the unbelievable functions of pheromones, even TV and print media have covered different scientific facts about these body substances. Dateline NBC, 20/20, ABC News, CNN, NY Times, Washington Post, and Time Magazine are examples of those media.
Consequently, various companies have produced pheromone products like Nexus Pheromones to help people find partners. These products are clinically proven formulations that attract males and females. Pheromone products are created specifically for men to allow them to communicate silently to women, using only their odors. Some males use these products by blending them with their aftershaves. With these pheromone products, men do not need to take muscle pills or waste their sweat in the gym anymore just to improve their likeability; all they need is a simple scent produced by pheromones products.

The sighting of a Bigfoot in Allegheny National Forest 115 miles (185 kilometers) from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania has triggered extensive debate. Is it a Bigfoot, Sasquatch, or merely a bear with a bad case of a skin disease?

Hunter Rick Jacobs got more than he bargained for when he captured the creature on film, using a camera with an automatic trigger that he fastened to a tree in attempt to photograph deer.
“We couldn’t figure out what they were.” Jacobs said of the photos caught on September 16th. “I’ve been hunting for years and I’ve never seen anything like this.”
Rick Jacobs got in touch with the Bigfoot Research Organization which is directed by a virtual community of scientists, journalists, and specialists that investigate reports of the legendary creature and aspects of the phenomenon in the U.S. and Canada.
“It appears to be a primate-like animal. In my opinion, it appears to be a juvenile Sasquatch.” said Paul Majeta of the Bigfoot organization.
But the Pennsylvania Game Commission has a more conformist opinion. Agency spokesman Jerry Feaser said conservation officers routinely trap bears to be tagged and often see animals that look like the photos, reported Yahoo News.
“There is no question it is a bear with a severe case of mange.” Feaser said to The Bradford Era of the third photo.
Nevertheless, the mystery continues, as the first 2 images depict a creature with much longer legs than any typical bear.

In her senior thesis at Princeton, Michele Obama, the wife of Barack Obama stated that America was a nation founded on “crime and hatred”. Moreover, she stated that whites in America were “ineradicably racist”. The 1985 thesis, titled "Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community" was written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson.
Michelle Obama stated in her thesis that to "Whites at Princeton , it often seems as if, to them, she will always be Black first..." However, it was reported by a fellow black classmate, “If those "Whites at Princeton " really saw Michelle as one who always would "be Black first," it seems that she gave them that impression”.
Most alarming is Michele Obama’s use of the terms “separationist” and “integrationist” when describing the views of black people.
Mrs. Obama clearly identifies herself with a “separationist” view of race.
“By actually working with the Black lower class or within their communities as a result of their ideologies, aseparationistmaybetterunderstand the desperation of their situation and feel more hopeless about a resolution as opposed to an integrationist who is ignorant to their plight.”
Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would likely lead to her "further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant."
Michele Obama clearly has a chip on her shoulder.
Not only does she see separate black and white societies in America , but she elevates black over white in her world.
Here is another passage that is uncomfortable and ominous in meaning:
“There was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the black community, I am obligated to this community and will utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit the black community first and foremost. “
What is Michelle Obama planning to do with her future resources if she’s first lady that will elevate black over white in America ?
The following passage appears to be a call to arms for affirmative action policies that could be the hallmark of an Obama administration.
“Predominately white universities like Princeton are socially and academically designed to cater to the needs of the white students comprising the bulk of their enrollments.”
The conclusion of her thesis is alarming.
Michelle Obama’s poll of black alumni concludes that other black students at Princeton do not share her obsession with blackness. But rather than celebrate, she is horrified that black alumni identify with our common American culture more than they value the color of their skin. “I hoped that these findings would help me conclude that despite the high degree of identification with whites as a result of the educational and occupational path that black Princeton alumni follow, the alumni would still maintain a certain level of identification with the black community. However, these findings do not support this possibility.”
Is it no wonder that most black alumni ignored her racist questionnaire? Only 89 students responded out of 400 who were asked for input.
Michelle Obama does not look into a crowd of Obama supporters and see Americans. She sees black people and white people eternally conflicted with one another.
The thesis provides a trove of Mrs. Obama's thoughts and world view seen through a race-based prism.
This is a very divisive view for a potential first lady that would do untold damage to race relations in this country in a Barack Obama administration.
Michelle Obama’s intellectually refined racism should give all Americans pause for deep concern.
Now maybe she’s changed, but she sure sounds like someone with an axe to grind with America .. Will the press let Michelle get a free pass over her obviously racist comment about American whites? I am sure that it will. But it shouldn’t.
