Shaping up for a big election season like no other - There is a lot at stake here!
Well, the last time I remember this kind of fervor about the Presidential Election was back in 62, when Kennedy ran against Nixon and won. Will history repeat again, allowing Obama the win?
This time however, we are all online or connected by our various devices with global communications and instant news about the candidates. We can all multi-task and use our influence in many varied ways. Blogs for instance?
I am a bit shocked by McCain's pick for VP. He wanted to have a big impact and he did, but is she really someone who we can trust to lead our country if anything happens to JM? What if they win? Are we then going to drill Anwar for all it's worth?
Is access to Anwar the reason she was selected? Time will tell but she has already had lots of positive impact on conservative women, at least that is what I see from the news interviews yesterday.
This is going to be one heck of an election, and now that the Republicans have picked Sarah, the race will be even more interesting that's for sure. However, I am betting that Obama will win because the winds of real change are what is driving his campaign, and I am not sure how the McCain position will sway voters his way unless he has some additional surprises up ahead.
The debates will be worth watching this time, and I highly recommend to everyone that we all watch them and stay informed all along the way. In my humble opinion, Bush would be doing McCain a favor if he would abstain from showing up at the convention, but of course that won't happen. We are all so sick if him that I don't even want to see him on the podium.
Restoring our relationships with other countries all over the world is a number one priority, so at this early stage I am seeing that as a big goal of the Democrats, but have yet to hear that from the Republicans. I cannot imagine a future where China and Russia take sides against us, and I believe Obama will work to improve our relationships with those important powers.
Watch and participate and discuss, interact, write on your blogs, demonstrate and get involved. We all have a big stake in the outcome of this most history making election!

I predicted months ago that Barack Obama would win the nomination over Hillary Clinton, and that he would win the election. I believe he is the guy with his finger on the pulse of the nation right now, not Mr. McCain. I agree Mr. McCain is an honorable man who deserves our respect, but he is not going to be able to hold a candle to Mr. Obama as the days and weeks roll on.
I have been waiting for someone in power, or someone heading for power, to mention Mr. Bush's abandonment of the pursuit of Bin Ladin in order to go and war against Iraq. Why did Bush do this? I say also, "Why did it take this long to hear someone in a national setting ask the same question"?
Three cheers for Obama. I have no idea if he will be able to deliver on all the promises or not, but I sure do agree with at least 90% of his comments tonight at the DNC. This nation is tired of Bush and the trouble he has brought on us all. He lied to us about Iraq, and failed to capture the real terrorist who engineered the attack on America in 2001.
